Greetings FCCS Community, |
Just as summer seemed to pass in a blink of an eye, so did the first week of school! Scholars were smiling, and our hearts were full as the 2025-2026 school year began. Please be sure to complete the PowerSchool Enrollment forms that were emailed from FCPS on Monday. Carline is going very well for our first week. It will get faster as the year moves on. Please: |
- Be on time: Carline drop off is 8:15-8:30 a.m. Carline pick up is 3:15-3:45 p.m. We do not have staffing after 3:45 p.m.
- Please pull all the way up.
- Please stay in your car. For little ones who need assistance, you can drive past the carline and park to the side.
|
Next week, we’ll have scholars in the building for all five days! Some scholars will have I-Ready Diagnostics this week, which gives teachers data for reading and math enrichment classes. Please make sure your scholars have earbuds and get a good night’s sleep each night so they can do their best work! Enjoy the weekend! Mr. Conroy and Mr. Kenny |

The Nominating Committee shall consist of three (3) parent members who are not Trustees or applying to become Trustees, two (2) teachers, and a current Trustee who shall serve as Chair in a non-voting capacity.”
The Nominating Committee performs the essential functions of recruiting, interviewing and recommending candidates for Board of Trustee elections. Members of the community can express interest in joining the Nominating Committee by emailing a letter of interest to BOT@frederickclassicalcharterschool.org. | |
All families are encouraged to review the updated Handbook before the start of the next school year. The uniform policy was updated. While technically in effect for this past school year, grace was given as families and scholars adopted the changes in the uniform policy. All scholars will be expected to be in compliance with the uniform policy at the start of the next school year. Questions? Please email bot@frederickclassicalcharter.org.

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School year!
As the School Counselor at FCCS, there are often events and certain announcements that come through the counseling department for our families. I will be posting some through this newsletter, but I also have a Schoology page for all of our students and families. Please make sure to join my Counselor’s Corner Schoology page by using the access code below. Access Code: KJVJ-5M6F-6SX2V Announcement Re: Free or Reduced Lunch Reminder, if your student received Free or Reduced lunch last school year, the application must be resubmitted for this school year. You can also apply for the first time. You can complete the application online. Here is some information about applying and re-applying for Free or reduced lunch. How do we apply for free or reduced-price meals?
Visit the FCPS Food Service online parent portal at www.linqconnect.com and click on School Services and then select Free & Reduced Meal Application. Type Frederick County in the District box, then choose Frederick County Public Schools (MD) (Frederick, MD). Parameters to qualify for Free or Reduced-price Meal benefits can be found in our press release. Some families will receive an email or letter stating they do not have to fill out an application because they have already been qualified or directly certified by the Maryland State because they are receiving other government assistance. If you are not sure if you qualify or have already been approved, please call the Food and Nutrition Services office at 240-586-8152 before completing an application.
