Greetings FCCS Community, |
This week was School Safety Week! Our scholars successfully completed fire drills, severe weather drills, and more. Throughout the year, we will continue to hold occasional drills to ensure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.
Today is not only Fair Day, it also marks the midterm of our first term, which means one eighth of the school year is already complete. Can you believe it? This is a great time to have your scholar log into Schoology and share their grades with you.
It is also club season! Many clubs are already underway, including choir, band, math, chess, and more. Be on the lookout for permission slips coming home. With clubs starting, our afternoon carline is a little less crowded. In fact, yesterday we finished by 3:37 p.m., a full eight minutes ahead of schedule. Thank you for helping make this possible.
Please note: if you have multiple scholars, we are not able to hold one child while waiting for another to finish a club. All students must be picked up on time. Looking ahead to next week, we have several early dismissals and a day off. Please mark your calendars: |
-
Friday, 9/19/25 – 3.5-hour early dismissal
Carline: 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (Pick up before 12:15) - Monday, 9/22/25 – 2-hour early dismissal
Carline: 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. (Pick up before 1:45) - Tuesday, 9/23/25 – No School
- Friday, 9/26/25 – 2-hour early dismissal
Carline: 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. (Pick up before 1:45)

Thank you for staying informed and helping us keep everything running smoothly. Have a wonderful weekend! Mr. Conroy & Mr. Kenny |

Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to a new year in the FCCS Library! Our library is a special place where students can explore new worlds, meet exciting characters, and grow their love of reading. We’re so glad your child will be part of our reading adventures this year! To keep the library fun and fair for everyone, here are a few important reminders: Library Rules |
- Take Care of Books – Turn pages gently, keep books clean and dry, and return them the way you found them. Use the library bag to store books. If the bag gets misplaced, it is $2.00 for a new bag.
-
Checkouts – Students may borrow 1-2 books at a time. Books are due back in 2 weeks (renewals are available if they need more time).
- Return on Time – Please help your child remember their due dates so everyone can enjoy the books. Overdue notices will be issued as needed.
- Library Manners – Use quiet voices, walk, and be respectful of others.
|
- Choose a safe spot to keep library books.
- Read together daily, even for a few minutes.
- Talk about stories — ask your child their favorite part or character.
|
Thank you for helping us build a joyful reading community! If you have any questions, I’m always happy to help. Let’s make this a wonderful year of stories and discovery. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at library@frederickclassicalcharterschool.org |
