We know the Wax Museum is a lot of work, but wow, wasn’t that a wonderful evening? Seeing our scholars shine as their historical figures is always one of my very favorite evenings of the year. It is a fantastic snapshot of the true, good, and beautiful at Frederick Classical Charter School. It's a great way to put a pin on term 2.
Next week, scholars will be off Monday for MLK Day and Tuesday for a teacher work day. Wednesday will be the first day of the Third Term. On the 22nd we will have our first PTC meeting of the year, join us virtually. Here is the agenda. Its a great way to be aware of what’s going on and to be part of our Griffin Triangle.
Have a wonderful weekend. |

Frederick Classical Charter - All School Mosaic |
These special, history-preserving pieces bring together our scholars from the 2022–2026 school year, along with other mosaic designs, into one beautiful collection of artwork.
These collages help preserve FCCS history, including years that were previously missing, and celebrate our students and school community in a meaningful way. They are expected to arrive next week, and we look forward to sharing them with everyone. |

February 2026 is Advocacy Month |
February is Maryland Charter Advocacy Month, and FCCS will once again participate in advocacy efforts in Annapolis. This year, we intend to broaden our engagement by including staff members, and we are also exploring opportunities for our scholars to participate in age-appropriate ways that allow them to learn about civic processes and the role of public education in state policy.
We also invite parents and staff to join us in this important work. Families and staff are encouraged to ask questions, learn about the legislative issues impacting charter schools, and participate when possible. Our goal is to strengthen our collective voice as a charter school community and ensure our students and staff are represented with clarity, professionalism, and unity. Comments and questions are welcome via email bot@frederickclassicalcharterschool.org
More information will be shared as schedules and logistics are finalized. |

Griffin’s Corner: Classical Principles Monthly |
Join us in bringing Classical Principles to life! Each month, see how our core principles shine at school and at home with help from Zeus, our cheerful Griffin mascot, and some members of our community. This fun initiative helps families turn big classical ideas into simple daily habits, boosts parent confidence in at-home learning, and strengthens the connection between school and home.
Click the Griffin image or the link below to explore this month’s classical principle: Repetitio Mater Memoriae (Repetition, the mother of Memory) |

All parents and staff are invited to attend the virtual PTC meeting on Thursday the 22nd at 6pm. Admin attends the meeting and is very open to listening and working as a team. Unlike formal board meetings where parents listen and observe, the PTC meeting is a place where you can join conversations and actively contribute to the school through your feedback and ideas. It’s also a wonderful way to stay up to date on all the upcoming events both in and outside of school. |
